BPS' Last Blast  - June 25, 2026

Our annual Last Blast (formerly Sports Day) will take place on Thursday, June 25, from 12:30–2:45 p.m. Students will enjoy an afternoon of fun, active sport and activity stations around the school grounds, led by our amazing parent volunteers.

This year's theme is Hawaiian/Beach Day! Students are encouraged to dress for the theme and come ready to have fun.

As we will be spending the afternoon outdoors, please ensure students are prepared for the weather and bring:

  • A hat
  • Sunscreen
  • A water bottle
  • A jacket or other weather-appropriate clothing

After the event, each student will receive a popscile generously donated by School Council & SHSES.

A big thank you to our parent volunteers for helping make this exciting event possible. We look forward to a fun-filled afternoon to celebrate another wonderful school year!

REMINDER: Wheel and Walk Week: June 22-26, 2026

Wheel and Walk is a week where students are encouraged to wheel (ride their bikes, scooters, rollerblades etc.) or walk to and from school for an entire week. If wheeling, students must wear a helmet and have a lock. Students will lock their bikes up outside. If there is not enough space at the bike racks, use the fence along the parking lot.

Wheel Parade: The week will be celebrated by a Wheel and Walk Parade on Thursday, June 25th. Students are invited to meet at the Signal Hill Tennis, Pickleball and Basketball Courts (2905 Signal Hill Heights) between 8:00 and 8:05am. We will depart at 8:10am sharp and wheel or walk to school.

Please do not drop your child off at or after 8:10am – there will be no supervision as we will already have left the starting point. If you arrive later than 8:10am, please accompany your child to school.

This event promotes physical activity, heart health, and fosters a sense of community.  By reducing the car traffic around the school, it contributes to safer streets. Wheel week aims to instill healthy habits and creates memorable experiences for all involved!

Looking forward to seeing many students taking part next week! Any questions, please e-mail kglachapelle@cbe.ab.ca.

Grade 6 Farewell

Our Grade 6 Farewell will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 12:30–2:30 p.m.

Parents/guardians are welcome to attend as we celebrate our Grade 6 students moving on to Junior High School. Due to space constraints, please let your child’s teacher know if more than two guests are planning to attend.  Please note that school-age siblings are not permitted.

Report Cards

Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students June 25 – July 31, 2026 through MyCBE. Within MyCBE, families can also view student information, comments from your child's teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information.

Please note: After July 31, 2026, report cards will no longer be available to access in MyCBE.  Please print or save a digital copy of the report card.

More information and resources are available on CBE's Assessment & Reporting website.

Lost & Found

Our Lost & Found is currently overflowing with unclaimed items. Next week, all classes will have an opportunity to visit the Lost & Found to see if any items belong to them.
