Outstanding School Fees Deadline 

School fees play an important role in supporting high-quality learning experiences for all students. These fees directly fund opportunities that enrich programs, such as Field trips and In School Activities.  

Unpaid fees must be covered by the school’s operating budget, which may impact programs and available resources. 

Families with outstanding balances are asked to: 

  • Log in to their MyCBE account 
  • Review payments 
  • Submit payment before the end of the school year 

Note: 

  • Fees are due once they are assigned to a student account 
  • Payment is expected by the end of the school year 

As part of CBE's process, two notices have already been sent to families with unpaid fees. Any balances remaining unpaid beyond 180 calendar days may be referred to a third-party collection agency. 

We understand that financial circumstances can change, and support is available. Families experiencing hardship may apply for a Central Fee Waiver through MyCBE. Please note that central waivers apply only to central fees (e.g., lunch supervision), while school-based fees are reviewed separately by the school. 


Mini Playground Update – 24 Days Until Demolition 

The countdown is on! In just 24 days, the existing Mini Playground will be removed to make way for the new inclusive and accessible playground opening later this year. 

We're also excited to share that KidZinc School Age Care Society of Alberta has made a generous $10,000 donation to the project. As a long-time provider of before and after school care at Battalion Park School and across Calgary, KidZinc's support reflects a shared commitment to creating safe, engaging spaces where children can learn, play, and thrive. 

With the playground equipment fully funded, SHSES continues to focus on accessibility improvements, pathways, and site enhancements that will help ensure the new playground serves all users for years to come.
