My Transit Ride

In August, the CBE, CCSD and Calgary Transit will offer a transit bus orientation program called "My Transit Ride" for middle and high school students transitioning to Calgary Transit.

The program is about an hour long and consists of a 20-minute presentation by Calgary Transit, followed by an orientation of a transit bus. Staff from CBE Transportation, CCSD Transportation and Calgary Transit will be available for information and/or questions.

Sessions are free but families are encouraged to register to attend. Registration will open on Monday, May 25.

We are excited to offer this safety training and transit orientation to increase student comfort levels and ability to ride Calgary Transit safely and efficiently.

More information and resources can be found on the CBE webpage, Calgary Transit Orientations

Update from SHSES

✨ What an incredible night! ✨

Thank you to our amazing Battalion Park School community for making the BPS Glow Dance such an epic event!

Events like this aren't possible without the many volunteers, families, staff, and students who come together to make Battalion Park School such a special place.

A special thank you to Mrs. Tuttle for helping bring this event to life, and to Mr. Yonathane and Ms. Anisa for their support with all of the dance preparations before and after the event.

We are also incredibly grateful to the many families who stepped up to help make the evening a success. Special recognition goes to the Harlal Family, Lee Family, Calacasan-Lorania Family, and Moran Family for their extraordinary contributions and support.

A huge shout-out to our amazing Student Council representatives, who played a significant role in running the face painting, sticker, and temporary tattoo stations during the K–3 dance. Your enthusiasm and leadership helped make the evening even more memorable for our younger students.

To everyone who volunteered, donated, attended, or helped in any way—thank you. Every contribution mattered, and together you created a night that our students will be talking about for a long time.

💙 We have more fundraising opportunities coming in the next few weeks! Keep an eye out for:
