Shout Outs

  • Shout-out to our amazing Kindergarten and Grade 1 team for putting together a wonderful Kindness/Pink Shirt Day assembly. Thank you for creating such a meaningful experience for our students.
  • Shout-out to Ms. Burton for organizing the field trip to the Hitmen’s Be Brave Hockey Game for our Grade 4 & 5 classes. This experience gave students the opportunity to enjoy a live hockey game while also hearing an important message about inclusivity and ending bullying.
  • Shout-out to all of our parent volunteers who attended the Be Brave Hockey Game with our Grade 4 & 5 students. This was a valuable experience for our students, and we truly appreciate your support in making it possible.

Planning for 2026-27 - Reminder

As mentioned in previous updates, as part of our annual planning process, we ask families to let us know if they plan to return to Battalion Park School for the upcoming school year. Having accurate student numbers allows us to make informed decisions regarding class organization and staffing.

At this time, we have received responses from only 23% of our families. If you have not yet completed the survey, please follow the link below and submit one survey for each child currently enrolled at our school

We kindly ask that all surveys be submitted by Monday, March 2, 2026. Your timely response is greatly appreciated and helps us plan effectively for next year. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.

Grade 4 Parents & Guardians Survey Reminder

If you have a child in Grade 4, you have been asked to complete the Alberta Education and Childcare Assurance survey. At this time, only a few parents have completed the survey. This anonymous survey will help gather important information about students’ and parents’ school experiences and will help to inform continuous improvement in our education system.

To fill out the survey, please click on the survey link you were emailed and enter the code provided. Please be sure to check your junk or spam folder for separate emails. Note, only one Random Access Code(RAC)  is provided per child for parents and only one parent response can be submitted as RACs are single use.

Mini Playground Update from SHSES

We’re in the final stretch. 💛

Our new Mini Playground is coming THIS SUMMER — and now we’re raising $25,000 to complete the paving and new accessible pathways that will connect the space safely to our school and community.

These pathways matter.

They ensure smooth, barrier-free access for:

• Students using mobility devices
• Parents and grandparents
• Community members
• Before & after school care groups
• Adjacent field programs visiting evenings and weekends

Just $50 per student will help us reach this goal.  Call to Action - Need Donations.png

We are already over 80% funded — and this final piece ensures accessibility is not scaled back.

Let’s pave the way — together.
