Shout Outs
- Shout-out to our Grade 6 Team for putting on a memorable Remembrance Day Ceremony. They did an outstanding job creating opportunities for learning and reflection, and their touching tribute to our armed forces – past, present, and future – was deeply appreciated. We are so grateful for their creativity, thoughtfulness, and hard work in making this event so special.
- Shout-out to Mrs. Heer in Kindergarten for always lending a helping hand after dismissal and ensuring our youngest students get safely to the bus.
- Shout-out to our students in rooms 9 & 10 (EES) for all their hard work & effort as they settled back into a routine. You came back to school ready to learn, grow & shine.
School Events Rescheduled

Parent Teacher Conferences
Our November Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, November 27 from 4:30pm to 8:15pm and Friday, November 28 from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Parent Teacher Conference bookings will open on Friday, November 21 at 6:00pm and can be accessed through your MyCBE/PowerSchool account.
Volunteering
Teachers are starting to plan class field trips and they will be looking for parent volunteers. If you have any interest in volunteering in your child's class or on a field trip, you must have a valid police clearance and have completed the 2025/26 Volunteer Registration Form. If you do not have a valid police clearance, the process for obtaining one can take 4-8 weeks so we recommend starting right away. To start the clearance process, please go online to your MyCBE account and complete the 2025/26 Volunteer Registration Form. Once we receive the completed form in the office, we will submit an application request to the Calgary Police and they will contact you via email to complete the process.
For those who already have a valid police clearance on file with the school, you still need to complete the 2025-26 Volunteer Registration Form through your MyCBE account and then once approved you will be able to volunteer.
More information on the Volunteer Security Clearance Process can be found on the CBE website at https://cbe.ab.ca/get-involved/volunteer/Pages/volunteer.aspx
Field Trip Fees
In reviewing fee information from the past two years, we noticed a significant amount of unpaid fees that the school is responsible for covering. To prevent this moving forward, families are required to submit all field trip and activity payments prior to the event so that the trip can proceed as planned.
No student will miss out on an opportunity due to financial constraints. Families can speak with the Principal if they have questions, concerns, or to make payment plans.

Thank you for supporting our school and helping bring the new playground to life!
🎲 Volunteers Needed – Dec. 3 & 4!
Our AGLC Casino Fundraiser covers 10% of the new Mini Playground Project, set to be installed next August — and we still need 40 volunteers signed up before end of November.
Each shift is worth ~$2,000 toward the playground, and AGLC provides a meal for all volunteers! 💙
Without enough helpers for this event, we risk losing future casino funding.
