Shout Outs

  • Shout-out to our students for their thoughtful participation in Orange Shirt Day activities. They showed care and empathy while learning, at an age-appropriate level, about Truth and Reconciliation and the impacts of Residential Schools.
  • Thank you to Meela (parent) for the behind-the-scenes work in organizing the Art Card Fundraiser—a creative way to meaningfully engage students.
  • Thank you to our teachers for weaving learning objectives into the Art Card project, making it an authentic and engaging experience.
  • Appreciation to teachers for the many hours spent gathering screener data. This important work supports programming and helps create flexible groups around learning targets.
  • Gratitude to our Lunch Supervisors for their collaboration and thoughtful solutions in addressing lunchroom challenges.
  • Thanks to CBE Senior Leaders for their clear guidance, support, and communication, which continue to benefit both families and staff.

Strike Action Expected to Begin October 6

  • All classes will be cancelled. Do not send your child to school.
  • Transportation will be cancelled. Do not leave your child at a bus stop.

The CBE is committed to keeping you informed as the situation evolves. If anything changes before Oct. 6, families will be informed.
