Shout Outs

  • Shoutout to the After School Connect Program for the engaging experiences they offer our students—crafting, playing games, and building important social skills in a fun and supportive space.
  • Shoutout to our families for taking the time to complete the survey and share your plans for next year. Your feedback is incredibly helpful as we make important decisions moving forward.

Planning for 2026-27 - Reminder

As mentioned in last week's update, as part of our annual planning process, we ask families to let us know if they plan to return to Battalion Park School for the upcoming school year. Having accurate student numbers helps us make informed decisions regarding class organization and staffing.

If you have not already done so, please follow the link below, and complete one survey for each child currently enrolled at our school. We kindly ask that all surveys be submitted by Monday, March 2, 2026. Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Valentine’s Day at School 💕

On the afternoon of February 11, classes will be engaging in friendship and Valentine’s-themed activities in the classrooms.  During that time, students will have the opportunity to eat a small snack they have brought for themselves from home. Some families like to send in items for their child to share with classmates, and we’re happy to support that within the following guidelines:

Yes, please:

  • Students may bring cards or items to give to every member of the class (e.g. Valentine's card, a baggie with a sticker and pencil).
  • Families may send a snack/treat for their own child to enjoy.

No, thank you:

  • Please don't send whole-class food treats, due to allergies and intolerances.

Thank you for helping us keep this a fun, inclusive, and safe celebration of friendship for all students!

SHSES Shout-Outs & Updates

  • Huge thank-you to Silvy for organizing the skating party at the SHCA rink! It was such a great opportunity to connect with families, cheer on first-time skaters, and watch our more confident skaters take on the big ice. A wonderful community-building event!
  • Special shout-out to our Principal, Mrs. Tuttle — a true champion of SHSES. We’re incredibly grateful for her continued support, from attending evening Board meetings to actively championing our fundraising and playground initiatives.
  • Playground Update: Thank you to all the families who provided their input on color choices at the skating party as well as votes on our social media pages
