Literacy and Numeracy Assessments 

Teachers will be administering assessments to gather information about each student’s literacy and numeracy skills. These assessments help us understand each child’s strengths and areas for growth, inform classroom programming, and measure progress throughout the year.

School Council 

Reminder – School Council AGM 

The first School Council meeting will be held on Tuesday September 16 at 6:30 PM. It will be a hybrid in-person/Teams meeting. The in-person meeting will be held in the Learning Commons. This meeting will be our Annual General Meeting (AGM) as well as our monthly meeting. Our Agenda will be available on our website (https://bpschoolcouncil.ca/) prior to the meeting. Hope to see you there!

School Spirit Wear 

 We are happy to be running BPS Spirit Wear for adults and kids! Due to popular request we have added in toques this season. If you want to show your school pride please order by September 15, 2025.  

These are great for our families to wear at school, in the community or home. Hope to see you all showing off your Hawk Spirit.   

Ordering closes on September 15, 2025.  Once orders are in it will take approximately 5-6 weeks for them to be processed.  All items will be delivered to the school for your child to bring home.  Go Hawks!

Some Important Before and After School Safety Reminders 

  • No outdoor supervision is provided before school. 
  • During Soft Entry, staff are in classrooms welcoming students. 
  • Please ensure your child does not arrive before 8:25 am unless supervised by an adult. 
  • There are no staff available after dismissal to supervise students or provide washroom access. 
  • Students should also check in with a parent or guardian before playing at the park after school. 
  • Thank you for your help in keeping all students safe and accounted for!
