Shout Outs 

  • Shout-out to our Casino Volunteers. Thank you to all the family & friends who took time out of their busy lives to work the casino this week.  Your time and effort will bring in significant funds to support our playground and other important school initiatives.  We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to our students and community.   
  • Shout out to the Fundraising Society for your tireless behind-the-scenes work to prepare for the casino fundraiser – and your presence at conferences to greet families and share information has not gone unnoticed.  Your countless hours of planning and organizing will benefit students and the broader community for many years to come.   


WinSport Ski and Snowboard Program 

This week, information letters and consent forms were sent home with all Grade 4, 5 and 6 students.  To support our Grades 4-6 Physical Education and Wellness curriculum , students have the opportunity to participate in the WinSport Ski and Snowboard Program.  This program includes 2 session of on-hill instruction, rental equipment & hill passes.  Please return the Acknowledgement of Risk Form and the Payment & Confirmation Form by Monday December 8th.    

Payment for WinSport Ski and Snowboard Program can be made through your MyCBE account.  No student will miss out on an opportunity due to financial constraints.  Families can speak with the Principal if they have questions, concerns, or to make payment plans.   


Message from the SHSES Fundraising Team 

Thank You, BPS Volunteers! 💙   Your dedication over our two-day fundraising casino makes an incredible impact on our school community.  This year, we were especially grateful to have a few extra hands offering to help with the late-night shifts — the first time in many years!  With the dates and shift times set by AGLC, your willingness to show up (and stay up!) speaks volumes about the strength of our BPS families and friends.  Because of your commitment, we’ll receive our casino proceeds in February — perfectly timed to place the equipment order for our new Mini playground in March 2026. 
 
This fundraiser brings us one huge step closer to creating a safe, accessible, and inclusive space for every student at Battalion Park School and the Signal Hill community.  We are truly grateful for the time, energy, and heart you shared.  You’ve helped make a lasting difference in our school and community.
