Literacy Week
The students participated in a variety of school-wide literacy events this week; Message Making Monday, Talking Tuesday and Wonder Word Wednesday. The week culminating on Thursday with a school spirit day ‘Dress as Your Favorite Character’ where we had many favorite books represented and an assembly by our Grade 3 students. The students read their original poetry, did Reader’s Theatre and read their own funny stories. We had a school read aloud of Brave Like the Buffalo by Melissa Allan (a local author who lives in Calgary). Thank you to all who participated in this school spirit event wearing your creative favorite character costumes!
Family Skate Night
The Battalion Park School Council is holding their annual Family Skate Night on Wednesday February 12, 2025. This will take place from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Signal Hill Community Association. We encourage you to wear your Battalion Park gear if you have it. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available for purchase (e-transfer ONLY).
This is a parented event, no drop-offs please.
Please note, this is a weather dependent event.
