Message from Principal

As we wrap up another school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and say thank you. It has been a privilege to partner with you in supporting your children’s learning and growth.

This year has been filled with meaningful learning, exciting opportunities, and memorable moments. From classroom learning and field trips to concerts, celebrations, leadership opportunities, and school-wide events, our students embraced new challenges, built friendships, and grew in confidence, resilience, and kindness. It has been a joy to watch them learn, discover, and shine.

Our school community is stronger because of the support and partnership of our families, dedicated staff, volunteers, School Council, and Parent Society. I would like to extend a special thank you to our Parent Society, whose members have worked tirelessly over the past several years to raise funds for our new playground. Thanks to their incredible dedication—and the generosity of everyone who supported their efforts, our students will be welcomed by a beautiful new playground when they return in the fall.

Thank you for trusting us with your children each day. We are proud of all they have accomplished and grateful to be part of their journey.

Wishing you and your family a safe, restful, and joyful summer!

Proud Principal, Christina Tuttle

Playground Project Update

As students and staff head off for summer break, another chapter at Battalion Park School is coming to a close.

On Monday, June 29, demolition of the existing Mini Playground is scheduled to begin, marking the start of an exciting transformation that will continue throughout the summer.

For more than 26 years, this playground has been a place of laughter, friendships, adventures, and memories for generations of BPS students and community children. While it is difficult to say goodbye, we are excited to begin building a modern, accessible play space for future students and families.

Thank you to the volunteers, donors, community partners, grant funders, and school staff who helped make this project possible.

There is still time to support the final phase of the project. Learn more or donate at SHSES.ca.

Have an amazing summer, BPS Hawks! We can't wait to welcome students back this fall to a new Mini Playground and an exciting new chapter at Battalion Park School.

💙  SHSES
