ONLINE Parent-Teacher Conferences UPDATE

Our March Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on ONLINE, Thursday, March 13 from 4:30pm – 8:15pm. There has been a slight change to the beginning and ending conference times on Friday, March 14. These conferences will occur from 12:45pm – 3:15pm and are also ONLINE. Parent-Teacher Conference bookings will open tonight at 6:00pm and can be accessed through your MyCBE account. 
NOTE: Friday, March 14 is a regular school day for students (8:53am – 12:30pm).

REMINDER – School Planning Survey

If you haven’t had a chance yet, parents and guardians are encouraged to complete the School Planning Survey to provide your feedback for the 2025-26 school year. The information PowerPoint shared at the School Council meeting is posted on our website for your reference. The survey is open until Friday, March 14, 2025. Next Year’s Intentions Survey 

To help us get an accurate count of students returning to Battalion Park School for 2025-26, we ask that parents complete this survey for each child in the family.  Accurate enrolment data is key to ensuring we staff accordingly for the next school year.  An early understanding of our enrolment numbers will be beneficial as we look at grade configurations and school organization beginning next month. We kindly ask that you complete this form no later than Monday, March 17, 2025.

Battalion Park School Book Fair 2025

This year we wanted to support a local book shop so we chose Owl’s Nest Books as our book fair host. We are offering our book fair online or you can visit Owl’s Nest Books (815A 49 Avenue SW) to purchase.

  • Tap - Juvenile Fiction or Juvenile Non-fiction to find the books mostly suitable for our school or feel free to just browse all categories

  • Tap -  Check out as guest if you would prefer to go to the book store and pick up your purchase OR;

REMINDER – School Spirit Wear

Signal Hill School Enhancement Society Fundraising is excited to announce that the spring offering of Battalion Park School Spirit Wear is now available to order!

We have all the same products as last fall, PLUS a new hat and an adult ¼ zip pullover (Let us know if you are interested in toques, backpacks or other items for the fall 2025 store launch).

The online store closing date is Monday March 17. Please note any late orders will not be accepted to ensure delivery deadlines are met.

SHSES Mini-Playground Replacement Facts and Stats

Did you know that:

  • The existing footprint of the mini playground is 480m2 (5,200 sq ft).
  • The playground replacement will require approximately 34,500 kg (76,000 lbs) of rubber surfacing.
  • This equates to 2,200 tires that will be recycled for this project.
