NEW Pumpkin Patch Day

We are making a change to our annual Pumpkin Patch this year. Instead of hosting it on October 31, we are going to hold in conjunction with the School Council Halloween Dance on October 24.

Students and their families are invited to carve or decorate a pumpkin at home and bring it to school on the morning of Thursday, October 24. All pumpkins will be on display during the day and during the Halloween Dance that night. Students will take their pumpkins home at the end of the dance (or the end of the day if they are not attending the dance). Don’t forget to put your child’s first and last initials on the pumpkin or on an attached card/paper.

Please note: As Friday is a Non-Instruction Day and there is no school for students, any unclaimed pumpkins will be composted at the end of the dance.

Halloween Dance

Thank you to everyone who donated for items for the Halloween Dance. We have a very generous school community!  

Just a reminder that there will be two dances:

  • Kindergarten to Grade 3 – 5:00pm – 6:15pm
  • Grades 4 – 6 – 6:30pm – 7:45pm

Students must be accompanied by their parent/guardian to attend.

Doors will open at the designated start times of 5:00pm and 6:30pm. We require 15 minutes between dances to allow for students and their families from the first dance to exit prior to opening the doors for the second group to come in.

We look forward to a fun dance on Thursday!

Celebrating our Diverse School Culture

We would like to celebrate the many cultures that make up our school community. Throughout the year, the Culture Committee will be focusing on making connections to different elements of culture. Our first focus area is around clothing.   

We invite you to send your classroom teacher a photo of your child or family in their traditional cultural clothing. These photos will be incorporated into a school bulletin board that will be displayed in our Learning Commons.
