Library Volunteers Wanted
Our librarian, Yenita Prawiro, is looking for one or two parent volunteers to help in the library for approximately 30 minutes once a week. Preferred days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Volunteer tasks may include:
- Shelving books
- Helping reorganize sections of the collection
- Creating displays for themes, seasons, or special events
- Labelling books
A brief introduction and training will be provided, and Ms. Prawiro will be available to answer questions and provide support.
All volunteers must have a valid police clearance and have completed the 2026/27 Volunteer Registration Form (available through MyCBE).

Our Library/Learning Commons is an important learning space, and we appreciate your support in keeping it organized and welcoming for our students!
Photo Retakes
Photo Retakes are scheduled for Monday, November 23rd. To request retakes, please check the "Retakes" box on your student's photo order form and return it to the school.
Students who were absent on the original photo day will automatically be added to the list for November 23rd.
Signal Hill School Enhancement Society (SHSES) Update
- 🎉 Playground Grand Opening – October 24!
The Society is excited to welcome all families to celebrate the grand opening of our new replacement playground on Saturday, October 24, at 2:00 p.m.!
Join us for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony as we celebrate this exciting milestone for our school community. Trustee Patricia Bolger (Wards 6 & 7) will also be joining us for the celebration.
Be sure to wear your Hawks gear. We hope to see you there!
