Terry Fox Run

Our Terry Fox Run has been postponed until Tuesday, September 24 due to the rainy weather and poor conditions on the field where the run is being held. The run will be held at 3:00pm – 3:30pm and we will require some additional volunteers to be Course Marshalls. If you'd like to volunteer, please e-mail Ms. Lachapelle at kglachapelle@cbe.ab.ca. As a Course Marshall, you do not require a Police Information Clearance.   

Our school fundraising page will remain open until the end of next week if you would like to donate money to the Terry Fox Foundation in support of cancer research.

Orange Shirt Day – Every Child Matters

On Thursday, September 26, we will acknowledge and learn about the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Students are encouraged to wear orange shirts or clothing in recognition of the story of former residential school student Phyllis Webstad and to share the message ‘Every Child Matters’.

Davison Orchards Apple Fundraiser Pick Up Time 

Apples will be available to pick up on Tuesday, September 24 from 10:30am to 12:30pm from the Signal Hill Community Association Parking Lot (at the rink). If you are unable to pick up at this time please email fundraising@bpschoolcouncil.ca and we can arrange an alternative pick up for you.

Update | Modular Demolition at Battalion School

We wanted to update you on the project timeline as we complete work at your school from the modular demolition that took place this summer.

The old modular has been demolished. The final landscaping and area remediation is expected to be completed by the end of September. Crews will be working this week and next week to complete the final landscaping work, including paving the area where the modular unit once stood and adding a small area of sod.

Crews are working closely with school administration to ensure no work is being completed when students may be outdoors or when it impacts the school day. Measures will continue to be taken to ensure the safety of students and community members using the school site during this time.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding this month as work occurred at your school. If you have any questions about this project, you may email accommodation@cbe.ab.ca.
