Spirit Day
Join us in celebrating our first Spirit Day of the year at Battalion Park School! Students are welcome to wear DOTS on Friday, September 13. Inspired by the book, The Dot by Peter Reynolds, students will wear dots and celebrate creativity, courage and collaboration through DOT related projects! Students are invited to wear dots on their clothing on this day. This could be polka dot clothing, clothing with little dot stickers on it, or anything else you can think of to help us celebrate this day!
Davison Apple Fundraiser
Hello Hawk Families!
The Battalion Park Fundraising Committee is thrilled to kick off the school year with a fantastic fundraiser—fresh apples from Davison Orchards! Last year, thanks to your incredible support, we raised $1,000. Funds raised will support various school initiatives, including enrichment activities, technology upgrades, music, and sports equipment. You can place your orders online via our School Council website.

School Spirit Wear
School spirit wear is back! The School Council is excited to be offering a variety of clothing items for purchase through their new online store. The store will be open until Monday, September 23, 2024.
Fun Snack/Fun Lunch
The Fun Lunch/Fun Snack Committee is excited to announce the first Fun Snack will take place on Thursday, September 19. Our first vendor will be Kernels. Information will be sent home early next week on how to order.
Meet the Teacher/Back to School Picnic
Our ‘Meet the Teacher’ and ‘Back to School Picnic’ events on Thursday evening were very well attended. As part of our evening activities, students and their families were invited to complete a Scavenger Hunt around the school. An random draw of the submitted entries from each class took place today and Hawks toques were given to 22 lucky students. Thank you to all of the families who were able to join us!
Reminder – School Council AGM
The first School Council meeting will be held on Wednesday September 11 at 6:30 PM. It will be a hybrid in-person/Teams meeting. The in-person meeting will be held in the Learning Commons. This meeting will be our Annual General Meeting (AGM) as well as our monthly meeting. Our Agenda will be available on our website (https://bpschoolcouncil.ca/) prior to the meeting. Hope to see you there!
