Shout Outs
- A huge thank you to our School Council and Society for hosting the food truck and family picnic! Families shared lots of positive feedback! Students loved the tasty treats, and it was wonderful to see so many people connecting and enjoying time outdoors together.
- Shout out to our amazing staff for all their work in preparing for Meet the Teacher! Families were excited to step into classrooms, meet the teachers who will be working with their children, and share in those first moments of celebration.
- A special thank you to Ms. Wilson and Ms. Gainor for creating the scavenger hunt! Students had a blast guiding their families around the school, and it was a fantastic way for those new to our community to become familiar with our building.
- Families – A big thank you for helping us with bus routines. Writing your child’s bus letter on their hand was such a simple but powerful way to support them in learning their route—it made everything run more smoothly this week.
Attendance
Daily attendance is the priority for our office staff each morning and we appreciate you notifying us as soon as possible. We request that you use our school email BattalionPark@cbe.ab.ca and copy the classroom teacher as your primary means of notifying the school of absences and lates. Attendance can also be reported by calling our Attendance Line at 403-777-7187 ext. 1 and leaving a detailed message; however, our phone system is limited in the number of voice messages it is able to record and occasionally we are unable to accept any more messages coming into the school via a phone call. Thank you for your help and understanding.
Bus Attendance
Attendance is taken for all students who take a CBE bus after school. If your child attends school during the day, but will not be taking the bus home (i.e. is being picked up or biking home), please contact the office to let us know (call 403-777-7081 ex 0 or email BattalionPark@cbe.ab.ca). If your child was at school but then is not on the bus and we were not notified, we have to phone parents to locate the child before the bus can leave the school. Your communication helps us ensure the safety and well-being of all students and we appreciate your cooperation and support.
